Mere Bookkeeping is a single-entry, cash accounting system - more similar to managing your home finances - so you don't need an accounting degree to use it.
The creator has an accounting degree, wears an IT developer hat in his day job, and has taught Excel to college students. When he couldn't find a simple accounting tool to manage his church's finances, he decided to build his own - and share it in hopes that similar non-profits could easily manage their finances and make better financial decisions!
