Mere Bookkeeping is a simple yet powerful accounting tool designed for small non-profits and churches. As a free Google Sheets template, it requires no spreadsheet knowledge—just basic data entry.

Created for volunteer treasurers and bookkeepers, it helps track revenue, expenses, fund balances, budgets, and generate reports and donor statements. The system uses single-entry, cash accounting, making it easy to use without an accounting background.


I created Mere Bookkeeping because I couldn’t find a simple way to manage my small church’s finances. Now, I’m sharing it to help other non-profits efficiently manage their finances and make informed decisions.
