TRANSLATIONS
Version 2025.01
Translations Overview
You can use the Translations sheet to safely translate most of the terminology used throughout these sheets, if desired. Translate to your native language, or just change to an English term that you prefer!

It is recommended that you wait to do any translations until you are more familiar with how things work/what the terms mean based on their context.

Entering your Translations
The standard name column highlighted in yell0w should not be changed. Make any desired changes by overriding any value in the translation column:

Other Translations
-
The names of visible sheets can be safely changed by right clicking the sheet's tab and clicking "rename". Do not rename hidden "ADMIN" sheets.
-
The names of reports (directly below your organization's name) can also be safely overridden within each report.

Report Sorting
As you change certain terminology, you may find that things within your reports sort a bit different than they did before. The reports are still accurate, but may reverse the order that some things are displayed.
For example, changing the terminology for Expense and Revenue may cause your expenses to be listed first and revenue second in some reports (hint: they are set to sort alphabetically in descending order, causing "Revenue" to show first in the reports.)

You can choose to live with this as a trade-off of using translations. Or, if you are more advanced (or more adventurous) you can search "sorting pivot table data in Google Sheets" and watch some videos to learn how to edit how the reports sort (changing the sort order of Revenue/Expense (account type) to ascending, in our example above).
